about

This album was released two years after Mark's first solo effort Rae Road. By this time circa 2004 Mark was living back in London and working with Rhys Adams who he would go onto form Yesking with. This albums production and mix is far superior to the first solo project as Rhys and the new technology kicked in. Protools and various plugins helped beef things up and the final mixdown was with Toni Economedes who is a mix champion having mixed a lot of the west London broken beat classics of that era. Guest wise once again Veba is in full effect on Without You Know and Reach Out To Me, Pete Simpson also makes a first appearance for the label. A lot of the album was recorded in Bethesda in North Wales in a studio owned by a guy who used to be in The Yardbirds in the 1960's. The studio used to be an old slate mine, we had some fun in the local village which was all Welsh speaking. The rest of the project was recorded at A.P.E studios in The Wirral with Lance Thomas and Mr Chop. Some amazing vintage valve equipment, some of it made by the Germans in WW2. This was my last release on the label that was soon to fold under pressure from the MCPS. This story and many others will be coming out in my next solo LP Sept 2016 which is a 10" and a book.
